Don't let the name of Mr. Goodcents, Subs & Pastas fool you. The deli has six locations in the greater Phoenix area and one in Tucson, but is primarily known as a Mid-West chain.
One of our editors even fancies himself an amateur gourmet cook. Not sure exactly what an "amateur gourmet" is, but whatever. The grilled basil-slow cooker chicken alfredo cajun pizza with avocado, capers and roasted red peppers he brought in last week was a big hit.
For your meal choices there are a lot of great choices for both lunch and dinner. If you are a pizza fan, then you must try one of theirs. They offer choices of Hawaiian, Alfredo Pie, Chicken Pesto and Peppers, Milano, Ragu Pie and many others. The pizzas are packed chicken alfredo bread bowl calories toppings and are about 10 inches thick! They are so good. You can also request your own toppings for your pizza if you want. It is one of the best pizzas I have had in our city.
I have posted before about stocking up on items you use regularly when you find them on sale to save money. Also, if you happen to find better prices at stores other than grocery stores. Today I was at CVS and they had items such as Campbells cream of chicken and cream of chicken soup and stewed tomatoes for $0.77. So that is half off their regular price on the soup. Stovetop is $0.77 a box this week, the regular price at the grocery store is over $2.00.
One of the best things about Campbell's Soup at Hand is they only cost around $1.25. To me slow cooker chicken alfredo that is a great price. You usually have to pay $0.75 for a candy bar out of the snack machines and those are loaded with calories.
The Salt Bay Cafe is taking reservations for this wonderful Valentine's Day dinner now. They can be reached by phone at 207-563-3302. The Salt Bay Cafe is always an excellent choice. With it's warm atmosphere and fireplace, Salt Bay Cafe is suitably romantic, and very budget friendly. Book your Valentine's Day reservations early, so that you don't miss out on the great meal and super deal.
If there's one thing you CAN do with a quiche it's color outside of the lines. Maybe it's a crust-less quiche or one with more veggies than egg, just make sure it can hold it's shape. Of course, even if it can't, you can still spoon out the ingredients onto your plate. Who cares if it doesn't keep that cute little look of a slice of pie.
